ERYTHROMYCIN 2%

Erythromycin 2% topical solution is indicated in the treatment of acne vulgaris
Indications:
Erythromycin 2% topical solution is indicated in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
Dosage and Administration:
Wash your skin using warm water and a mild soap and dry it thoroughly before applying the
solution. Apply 1 ml of the solution with applicator directly or with cotton on the acne twice
daily.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of allergy to any of its constituents or allergy to oral or injectable
erythromycin.
Do not use during diarrhea.
Do not use in children under 12 years old.
Do not use the product along with clindamycin topical products.
Concurrent use of peeling agents, medical soaps or products containing alcohol may cause
local irritation and dryness.
Treatment duration for Erythromycin 2% topical solution is usually 6 weeks. Contact your
physician if there is no improvement after 8 to 12 weeks.
This product is a topical solution so avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
Adverse Reactions:
The possible side effects of erythromycin are dryness, erythema, peeling, itching, eye
irritation and skin tenderness.
